Kate met Cher when she ran the nursery her daughter went to. It was admiration at first sight. They both shared creative training: Cher in childcare and Kate in theatre. It wasn’t long before they went into business together. We realised we had shared values around the importance of learning through play, creating a loving environment to learn in, and that growth comes from a place of love, kindness, and connection. We were also passionate about community and creating one. From there, BeBright was born.

From the age of 8 Rachel grew up in the Norfolk broads , which has probably influenced her love of being outdoors and fascination with the natural world. At various times she wanted to be, amongst other things, a vet, a journalist, a biologist, a psychologist or a primary teacher. In the end Rachel studied childcare at college and worked in various settings , qualified as a teaching assistant and had her own children too.
Rachel believe's the single most important thing when working with children is nurturing a child's emotional development. She also believes in the magic of play, the importance of being outdoors and the power of a cuddle .
At work Rachel can be found singing, making a mess, going on a bear hunt, or digging for worms. When she is not doing that she is usually glaring at a laptop and cursing technology!

Karen’s journey in childcare began in 1988 when a poignant image of a young boy holding a gun in war-torn Sudan sparked a profound realization within her. While she couldn't change the circumstances there, she knew she could make a difference in children's lives here in the UK.
Holding a NNEB diploma she dedicated eight years to working as an early year’s educator, honing her skills, and nurturing young minds. She transitioned into management roles, serving as an Early Years Manager in various public sector nurseries. This period saw her achieving outstanding and good Ofsted ratings.
Her commitment to excellence led her to pursue further education, acquiring certifications in TAQA training and 'train the trainer' courses.
Karen’s career as an Early Years Trainer has taken her across the globe, from China to Dubai and Switzerland. Immersed in diverse pedagogical approaches, she developed a passion for sharing theoretical knowledge with fellow educators.
Throughout her 35-year journey, her conviction remains steadfast: children's early experiences and relationships lay the groundwork for a fulfilling and successful life
